This painting was inspired by a detial in old painting I came across in Amsterdam. In the original the ships were no more than shadows on the horizon. When setting up this painting I wanted to create that old school feel in a modern seascape using a victorian colour pallet. Love the light, contrast and that big old burning sun. Inclusief Box frame.
