I created this painting with more muted colours inspired by Claude Monet's beautiful gardens. The scene is filled with lilies, greenery, a pond surrounded by willows and bamboo. I used wider brushes to spread paint in some areas and mainly used squeegees to create and remove layers. This scene depicts dusk, with a different light setting. A few lilies, in bright rose hues, jump out of the canvas. The blues and bright warm colours contrast to bring order and harmony to the chaotic strokes and layers.
